Amphithéâtre Cogeco: 9,000 Seats on the St. Lawrence
Set on the banks of the St. Lawrence at 100 Avenue des Draveurs, the Amphithéâtre Cogeco turned a former pulp and paper mill site into Trois-Rivières’ main stage. Designed by architect Paul Laurendeau, it holds close to 9,000 people — about 3,500 in seats and 5,200 on the sloped lawn — and its stage converts into a 700-seat indoor cabaret once the summer season ends. On show nights, thousands of people arrive in the same corner of the city within the same hour, and the streets around the site fill fast.
