Old Port of Montreal

The Old Port of Montreal is the historic port of the city of Montreal, central Quebec, Canada. Located on the north bank of the St. Lawrence River, it stretches for more than two kilometers south of Old Montreal. Created in the early XVIIIᵉ century, the port was created in the XIXᵉ century with the industrial revolution. In 1976, Montreal port events were moved to the present Port of Montreal eastward. In the early 1990s, the Old Port was redone. Today, it is a historic and tourist attraction that brings together more than six million visitors each year.
