Mount Royal

Mount Royal is a biggest intrusive rock hill or little mountain in the city of Montreal, directly west of Downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The best-known explanation for the origin of the name Montreal is that the name is appropriated from Mount Royal. The hill belongto the Monteregian Hills located between the Laurentians and the Appalachian Mountains. It accord its Latin name, Mons Regius, to the Monteregian chain. The hill subsist of three summits: Mountain de la Croix at 233 m, Mountain d'Outremont at 211 m, and Westmount Summit at 201 m elevation over mean sea level.
