Jean Talon Market

The Jean Talon Market is a public square in the center of Montreal's Little Italy. Located at 7070 Henri-Julien Avenue, this square is named in honor of Jean Talon, the first intendant of New France. The Montreal Public Markets Management Association describes it as the largest open-air market in North America. Major work took place in the early 2000's, so that most of the market is now covered and involves underground parking. The main entrance has been operational since the summer of 2005.
