The Old City Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is one of the oldest and most important buildings in the city's history. The creation of the building began in 1889 and it was extended for a decade at a cost of 2.5 million Canadian dollars. It was replaced in 1965 by the new Toronto City Hall, but the building was retained and named a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984.
