Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal

The Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal is a Quebec museum constitution located in Montreal, Quebec. Created on June 1ᵉʳ, 1964, it is the first Canadian museum devoted entirely to contemporary art. Initially housed in temporary quarters in Place Ville-Marie beginning in March 1965, the museum moved to the Château Dufresne in June 1965 and then to the Cité du Havre in the International Art Gallery facility of the 1967 World Presentation in 1968. In 1992, the museum moved to its present location in Place des Arts. Approximately 8,000 works belong to the museum.
