Écomusée du fier monde

The Écomusée du fier monde, created in 1980 and incorporated in 1982, is first and foremost a museum of industrial and working-class history in Montreal, Canada, and also a citizen museum. Supported by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec and the Commité des arts de Montréal, the Ecomuseum highlights the history and ownership of South Central Montreal. A microcosm of industrial innovation in Quebec in the second half of the XIXᵉ century, this area witnessed the damage of industry on the work and life restrictions of working-class families. Since 1995-1996, the Écomusée du honoreux monde has been housed in the old Généreux public bath, a glimpse of 1920s art deco architecture. It is located at 2050 Atateken Street, in the Ville-Marie area of Montreal.
